As your Personal Chef I work with you,
- I take personal pride in meeting and interviewing all of my clients. It is important that we both feel comfortable with one another and whether by telephone, email or in person, this allows me to assess your culinary likes and dislikes. Our conversation will also allow us to determine if you have any special dietary needs, medical conditions or allergies that I should be made aware of.
- I will then create a custom-designed menu specifically geared towards your culinary wishes and enjoyment. Together we will work to ensure that your menu meets with your satisfaction and approval.
- On the designated cook day, I will shop for the freshest and highest quality ingredients for your menu.
- I will arrive at your vacation cottage with my portable kitchen, using all my own pots, pans and utensils. I will bring with me my pantry items which include items such as: flour, sugar, dry spices and seasonings etc.
- I will leave your kitchen clean and with no evidence of my having been there except for the aroma of the gourmet dishes I’ve prepared.
It's so easy. This is the way to have a stress-free, leisurely, sit back, relax, and let your Personal Chef take care of all the details kind of vacation!
'Chef's Note'
A Personal Chef is different from catering company in that as a Personal Chef he/she must arrive in your home early in the morning in order to have dinner ready by 6:00. This means, that a Personal Chef is not allowed to prepare any foods and transport them to your house. At least in the state of North Carolina this is illegal and does defeat the purpose of being a personal chef - in otherwords, they are a catering company. Unless the personal chef has a commercial kitchen in which most cases they don't, only then can foods be prepared and transported because they are monitored by the Department of Health.
